The Queens View Harbour Care Home is located in the picturesque harbour town Troon, Scotland with 56 modern bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms.
Securefast Mechanical Digital Locks SBL315.S have been fitted through out on all treatment rooms, storage cupboards and sluice rooms so that staff do not have to carry keys around and allowing them easy access to these areas when required whilst also preventing residents from wondering in and possibly causing harm to themselves.
The mechanical digital locks are fitted on FD60 timber fire doors which allow easy egress from the inside by a large turn.
To control various areas withing the building standalone access control was used on many double doors on each floor fitted with Securefast slim line single electro-magnetic locks, controlled by a key pad on the secure side and an domed exit button on the non-secure side. Final exit doors have also been alarmed to prevent residents from wondering through them with the electrical wiring protected by a Securefast ALP103 surface mounted door loop
